Am trying to trace my ancestor's heritage and am particularly interested in:
Henry Buchholz (could have been spelled Bucholz, etc) was born about 1811 in (supposedly) Baden-Baden, Ger, and d 1872 in Washington, DC. He emigrated to the US about 1860 (or earlier). In 1861, Henry married Christina Gephardt (may have married a Hazenmayer prior to marrying Henry). They had a number of children, namely my great-grandfather,
Henry Herrmann Theodore Buckholtz (new spelling). Henry Herrmann was b 1869 in DC and died 1926 in DC). He married Wilhelmina Hammond of Westmoreland Co, VA.
Any information on the Baden-Baden Buchholz family would be most appreciated, thank you.
