His will (dated 1-19-1854) was written in Marshall County, Indiana.

I am assuming he died in Newton County, Indiana since he owned land in Newton County and was living there in July 1860.

In the 1860 census his name was listed as John Winebigler.

The estate packet has several receipts for when the children were given money while the estate was in probate. The children are:

There is a book titled "Of Life Immense: a Family History" which is a family history of the Windbigler family. In the book it refers to John Windbigler marrying a Mary (nee Eismann) Baxter. Does the German name "Buchter" sound like "Baxter"?

If so, then we need to investigate the possibility that Mary Buchter is actually Mary Eismann.
