My Buchter family came from Grondo,Russia (now Belarus) in early 1900's and settled in NYC. We have Ronalds and Richards in our family too. Also Jacob, Peisach. Moses, Aaron They were Jewish. Many had red or blond hair and blue eyes. According to ship manifests many were in furniture trades..
