Would like to hear from anyone who has any BUCHHOLTZ or BEECHWOOD (variant spellings for both, including BUCKHOLTZ) connections in Lewis County, NY (West Turin, West Leyden) and Oneida County, NY. Jacob BUCHHOLTZER (as on petition for citizenship) married first Elizabeth GROESBECK (Grescbachy?) about 1843 and had 4 children (Catherine, John Sebastian, Barbara, Nicholas and/or Henry). He married second Catherine SELLMAN (Saleman?) and had 4 children (Anthony, Charles, Victoria, and William Nickolas). All children except Barbara and John used BEECHWOOD as their surname--they were born BUCHHOLTZ (BUCHHOLZ) and changed it later. John's children all started out with BUCHHOLZ but were married using BEECHWOOD. Other surnames in these lines include Klein/Kline, GROESBECK, Knapp, Urtz, Vergalito, Tamburrino, House, Blair, Parks, SELLMAN, Bell (only one in KS--rest in NY).
Please contact me as I've been researching these lines for over 5 years now. Happy to share what I've got in exchange for your information.
