Surnames: BUCKHOLTZ, BUCKLES
We are trying to find information on John G. Buckholtz, died 4/15/189, born approx 1806. He was married to Genevieve (Genovefa) who died July 12, 1912. They had at least 3 children: John (died 2/8/1910, born approx 1868), daughter Genevieve (later known as Jennie) and a son Henry (Heinrick) (later changed spelling to Buckles) born 1861 in Germany. John G, Genevieve and son, John are all buried in Bloomington, IL. Henry, my great-grandfather, was killed by his 2nd wife, Edna Bell Hobson Waldo Buckles (self-defense, he wasn't a nice man). He was killed in Bloomington in the yard of their house and was buried in Peoria, IL. Henry and Edna had 4 daughters, Marie (born 1903), Emma (born 1905), Nellie (born 1907) & Tressa (born 1909).
My great-grandmother, Henry's 1st wife was Catherine Harriet "Hattie" Hunt. After leaving Henry, she married Martin Volwiler. She and Henry had Harry (my grandfather), William (who died as an infant) Charles and Dorothy. While married to Martin Volwiler, she had two more children: Robert Dewey and Lillian. Robert later in life used the name of Buckles instead of Volwiler.
If you have any information on anyone of these, please contact me.
