MUSCATINE, Iowa
Maxine V. Buckley, 85, of Morning Sun, formerly of Muscatine, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Morning Sun Care Center.
Services will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Brooks of Providence Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Geo. M. Wittich-
Lewis Funeral Home.
She was born March 22, 1915, in Fremont Neb. the daughter of Charles and Mable Pinckney Buckley.
She moved to Muscatine in the late 1960s. After attending nurses training in Clinton, she worked at the Lutheran Homes as an LPN until retiring.
Survivors include an aunt, Jessie Stark of Phillips, Neb.; several cousins, Charles and Verna Buckley of Muscatine, Don and Helen Buckley of Blue Grass, Ray and Thelma Whittaker of Columbus Junction, Robert and Myrna Sell of Aledo, Ill; and many other cousins that live outside the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.

Verna J. Buckley, 70, Muscatine, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Unity Hospital.
Graveside services are at Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Parrott will officiate. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1931, in Muscatine, the daughter of Eddie and Lela Callaway Brown. She married Charles M. Buckley on April 15, 1961, in Muscatine.
She was a Girl Scout assistant leader for many years.
She lived in various places around the Midwest moving back to Muscatine in 1972.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James Munday and his wife, Barb, of Cape Coral, Fla. and Douglas Buckley and his wife, Kathy, of Lawrence, Kan.; four daughters, Cheryl Eichelberger and her husband, Robert, of Muscatine, Christine Musgrove of Killeen, Texas, Sharon Spillman and Debra Thomas and her husband, Richard, all of St. Joseph Mo.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma Hesford of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, a brother and a sister.

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla.
Stanley Eugene Buckley, 68, Tarpon SPRINGS, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at Newport Richey Hospital of leukemia with complications.
He was born Dec. 1, 1935, in Muscatine, the son of George McKinley and Lois Pinckney Buckley. He married Judith Wheeler Aug. 16, 1957. He later married his wife, Barbara.
He worked for many years at the Muscatine Journal as a pressman. Most people will remember him as the last director of the Weed Park Zoo. For several years following, he worked for Bosch Pest Control. The Weed Park rose garden and other city gardens still display the beauty of his love for roses. He served many years as a Boy Scout leader in a troop at the Salvation Army.
Survivors include four sons, Mark, Michael and wife Sarah and Barton, all of Muscatine, and Brett and wife Teletha of St. James, Mo.; six daughters, Julie Griffith and husband Gary of Vienna, Mo., Jane Martin and husband Timothy, Jill DeVore and husband Tony and Jackie Davis, all of Muscatine, Jessica Brock and husband Raymond of Omaha, Neb., and Ashley Buckley of Tarpon Springs; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles of Muscatine, Donovan of Blue Grass and Joseph of LaGrange, Wyo.; and four sisters, Ida Ottaviano and husband John of Nacogdoches, Texas, Ruth Robertson and husband Larry of Grinnell, Thelma Whittaker and husband Raymond of Columbus City and Myrna and husband Robert of Aledo, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Joan Hernandez and her two daughters, Analucia and Olivia Alberto.

Charles McKinley Buckley, 77, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at the Muscatine Care Center.
There will be no visitation. A time of food and fellowship will be at the Geo. M. Wittich- Lewis Community Room.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Muscatine VFW.
The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buckley was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Muscatine, the son of George McKinley and Lois (Pinckney) Buckley.
He married Verna J. Brown April 15, 1961. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was involved in the trucking industry for over 50 years and began hauling livestock in high school, working his way to owning trucks, which were leased by various companies.
He will be deeply missed by four daughters, Cheryl Eichelberger and her husband, Robert, of Muscatine, Sharon Allsbury and her husband, Phillip, of Lawrence, Kan., Christine Musgrove of Killeen, Texas, and Debra L. Thomas and her husband, Richard, of St. Joseph, Mo.; two sons, James Munday of Arizona and Douglas L. Buckley and his wife, Kathy, of Lawrence Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donovan Buckley and his wife, Helen, of Blue Grass and Joseph Buckley and his wife, Barbara, of La Grange, Wyo.; and four sisters, Thelma Whittaker and her husband, Ray, of Columbus City, Myrna Sell and her husband, Robert, of Aledo, Ruth Robertson and her husband, Larry, of Iowa and Ida Ottaviano and her husband, Johnny, of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandson and a brother.
