I am researching the ancestry and descendants of Robert B Woodward and his wife Mary Church Bucklin, my husband's gg grandparents. Mary's father was Nathaniel Bucklin. Both were born in 1824 Providence, RI. Married in 1847 Providence, RI. Robert and Mary moved to San Francisco, CA. in 1849. R. B. Woodward established the "What Cheer House" in San Francisco in 1852 and later the "Woodward's Gardens" amusement park in San Francisco in 1856.

Their children are:
Robert Woodward d. 1910 in an automobile accident

Helen Jane Woodward m. Ely Hutchinson
Their daughter Ruth Hutchinson married Martin W. Joost (my husband's grandparents)

Sarah Bucklin Woodward m. Drury Melone

Mary Church Woodward m. George E. Raum
