Hi Lester,
I am doing a tree for the Miles Family in Baltimore. Ross Joseph Miles m. Louise Brendel; her father, Louis H. Brendel, Sr. m. Anna E. Buckman, whose parents we are trying to find. The rumor is her family was from Main Line Phila, poss. Bucks County, and were associated with, poss. related to, Brewsters and Malloys. The Brewster were carriage makers for the US presidents in the 1800's in Philadelphia. The Malloys were supposed to be in tugboats in Philadelphia. We know that Anna inherited 1/32 from a will of a great grand parent(??) from the Hudson Valley sometime around 1911 or so. It is also rumored that she may have been alienated from her family for marrying a Catholic. Anna and her husband were were able to buy 3 houses on Federal Hill in Baltimore on Battery Ave (1218, 1235 and 1243). One of her relatives was one of those man who jumped out of his office window after the 1929 stock market crash. Anna E. may have been related to Buckman's Haberdashery on Light St, Baltimore, early to mid-1940's. Do you have any information which might help us find Anna E Buckman's ancestors? Thank you,
Carol
