Thank you for responding, Cousin Eric! I just got my DAR application over the weekend. Jesse would be my GGGG grandfather. My father was James Robert, the son of George T. Buckner. Dad was born in Chrisman (Il) but had lived most of his life in Indiana. I knew that Jesse had been used previously by a DAR member as her "Dar Patriot", so a lot of my work was already done.

Right now, I am trying to find the "Buckner cemetery", where hopefully I will find the grave of William Buckner (son of Jesse). It is believed to be somewhere around HIGHLAND or Highland township (perhaps North of Worthington, Indiana). I have found the graves of Buckners in the Calvertsville (In) cemetery...but have not found William nor Harlan.

Maybe that's a good thing...I am a softie and just cry at those old graves anyway..LOL. Where are YOU located, Eric?
