Published cemetery transcription shows stone in Williams Cemetery with birth date 7 Sept. 1849 and death date 5 Dec. 1876. At that time, he was the first husband of Susan Ermina BARGER (1853-1917), who had lived in Dunklin County since late 1850s except for a few years' return to native Indiana around end of Civil War. Marriage probably in Dunklin County, but records burned in 1872 courthouse fire. They had one child, Minnie Grace BUSEY (1876-1953), known as Grace; married Edgar Lee BERRY (1872-1951), known as Ed, about 1895.
