Searching for photos of my husband's ancestors Cyprian Budreau (1823-1905) son of Pierre & Dorothee Boudreau. Cyprian's son Napoleon N. Budreau (1858-1941) was the father of my husband's great-grandmother Pearl Virginia Budreau (1900-1978) who married E. Louis Bachman.
Hello, my name is Kay Budreau, I read a book that my father Jack had paid to be put together about the Budreau history and we came from Canada and have many relatives in Michigan. I have not seen this book in awhile now, but my sister chris has it and I will be looking at it again to find more details about everyone. I love this stuff, it,s very interesting to me.
Let me know if you find more information, I do have some
Budero and Budreo's in my file. I list them all under
Boudreau. I have found Boudreaux spelled 250 WAYS but I
have them shown under Boudreau/Boudreault/Boudreaux/Boudrot
since that is the 4 most common spellings. The original
from Michel born in 1600 in La Rochelle France is BOUDROT.
contact me direct at donboudreaux@earthlink.net
Don Boudreaux
Lafayette, La.
Father's family

My father's name was Lawrence George Budreau. His father's name was Oswald Calix Budreau. I don't know what his father's name was. All I know is that they were from somewhere in Canada because Dad said that his grandfather could only speak French. Dad could speak it to him, but couldn't write or read it. Anyway does anyone have any idea how to find out where in Canada they came from. Everyone I could ask has passed away. My Mom doesn't know either. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply...The only information that I have from a Katherine Dodge(her email address used to be jsd@flex.net, out of the Houston TX area, since defunct and no more info from the provider) was sent in Feb. 13/02, I didn't get back to the site until July of that year so I missed her.
The info provided was that her grandmother's name was Myra Lillian Budreo, born in Lousiana but no indication as to what parrish. Apparently she passed away in Oct 00. She was married to a Robert Sullivan, they had 6 girls and 4 boys. That is all the info I have.
Our family history as far as I have progressed is back to 1849 in Rochester NY where my great grandfather Francis was born, who is mother and father were is still unknown althougth I am heading for Ontario this summer to look up some grave yards. Sometime in the 1850's the family moved to southern Ontario and took up residence in a place called Thompsonville and then to Ottawa and some to Toronto.
At present there are only about 15 family members that I am awere of. Recently one deceased woman, Marion Rita Budreo showed up in NY city, where she came from and whether she was married to a great uncle remains a mystery. There is also the family story that were are French Huguenots but where and when we arrived here is a mystery. We are protestant which falls into line with Huguenots but what the name was origilnally is anyones guess.
You can reach me at the above email address, saves time running around the internet. Any information or if you happen to find Katherine Dodge would help. Thanks from the far north(it's a mild -10c today, beats the -27c we have had for the past couple of weeks) Terry Budreo

Our family was, according to some, Huguenots. Soon after arriving somewhere in north America all died but one, his name was anglisized to the above??? I received an email from a Katherine Dodge about a year ago stating that her mother was born in Lousiana and that her family name was Budreo,(Myra Lillian) she married a Robert Sullivan, apparently she passed away in 2000. Have you come across our name in your research? Unfortunately Katherine is no longer on the internet and I cannot find her or any trace of her. If you can be of any help I would appreciate it. Thanks,
Terry Budreo
