My mother is a Buehler. I think there might be a connection. I have a Johann (John) Heinrich Buehler that was born in 1851 Dornbirn, Germany near the Black Forest area of Bavaria...near Switzerland. He came over with an uncle by the first same name of Johann. He settled in Crystal Lake, McHenry, Illinois and married a Christine Peters in 1875. I am looking for the names of my greatgrandfather's parents. Johann had named of some of his children. His first son he named "Wilhelm Carl Johann Buehler" which leads me to believe that his father's name might have been "Carl, Wilhelm or Johann". His second son's name was Karl Johann Ludwig, his third son was Erdmann Johann Henirch, then a Walther Albert Ludwig (my grandfather), another Arthur Heinrich Georg, another Paul Wilhelm August and yet another Johananes Wilhelm Georg....
