Quick update re: *Christina and *Jacobina: I've found the David Buehler family in the census of 1850 (indexed as "Brater", document clearly reads "Bealer"; David's wife and daughter are listed as "Mary" and ditto, but I think 30-yr-old carpenters named David from Germany were rare enough in 1850 Detroit so that the ID is a good one....) and 1860 (indexed as "Beebe", document reads "Buhler"); the two questionable daughters do not appear. It looks like their oldest child was Anna, and Christina and Jacobina are not part of this family.

Hi there,

The Buehlers that were in the meat business were my relatives. I only once met a Kevin Buehler we were cousins and I would never know how to reach him. My daughter works at a vetrinary and there are a couple of Buehlers that use that vet, they are apparently my relatives too.
I do know that my grandfather came from Canada just don't know anything about that so I am excited to receive your info thanks!

Eileen

I am from Saskatchewan, Canada and some of my family went from here to Sacramento/Rio Linda, ca1920's. We left Germany in 1804 to go to Russia. I can't vouch for Royaly.
They were well off. Some Buehlers in the meat business came
from Kitchener, Ontario, not my relatives. At Sacramento, 1978, I met relatives, Max & Gwen Buehler and Ed Posehn.Max'
father was Karl B, and Ed's mother was Christine Buehler
Posehn. I tried to leave a message for Kellie Buehler, but it did not go through. Do you know her? If any of this is
familiar, please reply. Thanks, C.B. Do you know the Inguletz River in Russia where the Buehlers lived?

I am related to this family through Martin's brother John. Along with other family members we have gathered quite a bit of information about this line. Martin's father Matthäus (Mathias) Bühler (Buehler or Beehler) was a weaver, and came from Württemberg, Germany in 1846 with 2 children, his wife Ursula and several other members of her family. Their children were Christian, Anna, Heinrich, John, Adeline, Catherine, Mathias, Martin and Ursula. Are you related to Martin?

Hi Sedohnah, Julia(Lulu) was my grandmother, she married Frank Kraus in Columbus, Ohio. This posting helps me tremendously, I don't know if you have any documentation you can share but John Buehler had become one of my brick walls.

I'm not sure about the details you have on Caroline. He was a butcher in the Sacramento area he worked for Tom Raley and the like. I can't tell you when he was born or anything like that however.
I know that his family came from germany and we had royalty in our family and that he had lived in Canada for a while before coming to the states.

Thank you for your contact. My great grandmother was Elizabeth Buehler (married to John Ristow) of Fountain Hills, Wisconsin, daughter of John Buehler and Mary Veraguth. Another researcher has told me that my John Buehler is the youngest son of Luzi Buehler and Elsbeth Rupp, born in the town of Says, county of Graubunden, Switzerland, on May 7, 1824. I have immigration papers of John Buehler to America in 1850. I was told that John had 5 older siblings, Johannes Michael Buehler, Maria Buehler, Christian Buehler, Margaret Buehler. Luzi Buehler and Elsbeth Rupp moved to Says from Masein, which is southwest of Chur, near Thusis, on the mountain, and is the ancestral home of the Buehler family.
It seems as if we are related, if my information is correct, as many of the names are the same. I do have photos of John and Mary Buehler....who also had a son John.
Please reply. Thanks.

Hi, I'm related to the Buehler line from Sauk Co. WI. Jocab Buehler was John Buehlers father. My line goes from John's brother Florian Buehler. If you goto this link, it has the letters online.
http://content.wisconsinhistory.org/cdm4/document.php?CISORO...

I have have a photo album with some of the relatives, it has Ulrich Buehler who was John and Florians other brother, a picture of Florian, his wife Kate Fertig, Cousin Anna Buehler Rupp, John Buehler, not the old John Buehler, this photo is of a baby from around 1880, Aunt Maggie Buehler ( Sister of Florian, John and Ulrcih) Ragatz, Uncle Henry Ragatz, Lilly Ragatz (Henry and Maggie's daughter), and Florian's daughter Alma. There was a spot for Grandpa Buehler which would have been Jacob, but it's not there which stinks.
The town of Arcadia and county of Buffalo along with Sauk Co. had a lot of families connected. Florian's wife Kate had a brother Martin Fertig who owned a large Store in Arcadia. You see alot of Buehlers, Daunser, Arrcola, Ragatz ect. in both area's.

I have some bits and pieces I am trying to resolve.
fact - Fredrick Buehler married Annie Reuschlein on 11 June 1873 in Jackson County, Kansas City, MO.
surmise - I believe Annie may have been born on 4 Jan 1854.
If Annie had a sister named Lizie who was born in Maryland in 1860, then her name is Annie Dorodea (Reuschlein) Buehler and her father was named John Reuschlein (Born 1832 in Bavaria) and her mother was Catherine (Punty, Prunty or Printz)and was married in Cumberland, MD., on 16 June 1853. John immigrated in 1839. Catherine came from the town of Schlierbach Germany and was born Aug 19, 1834 and died of pneumonia on April 3rd 1916. She is buried at the Forest Hill cemetery. She may have also had a sister named Maria who would have been born on 19 June 1867.
If you have a connection, please let me know.
Fieldtek @ hotmail.com

Hi Jack, The Buehlers you have listed, I have been reseaching off and on for some time. I am Albert Buehler's granddaughter. Albert moved from Fremont, Ohio to Vermontville, Michigan in 1879 and married Maggie Dietz also from Ohio in 1881. They had one daughter who was my mother. I have Anna Maria's obituary too and I know that it said Albert was from Mt. Clemens, but that wasn't true, he lived in Vermontville. I have quite a bit of information, but it isn't in true genealogical form, but if you are interested in any of it, I would be happy to share. Which one of Anna Maria's children are you a descendant from? I have listed that she had six children. Sincerely, Barbara J. Best, Eaton Rapids, Michigan.

My maiden name is Wield and my ancestors come from Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Nathaniel Wield is mentioned on the land records as having purchased land in 1680's. There is a Thomas Wield and I have come across a Jane Wield although not directly linked to myself. I would love to hear about your Wield's. I am presently just getting back into compiling my family tree after a number of moves. I have also found that there are not many Wield's out there - especially spelt correctly. I look forward to hearing from you!

According to info in the 1870 amd 1900 census, the Christina Buehler who married Constantine Mink was born in Württemburg in Nov. 1838. Constantine was Catholic: he died in 1892, and was buried from St Joseph's in Mt Elliott cemetery. Is there any other information connecting Christina to the David Buehler family?

My great grandfather was from the Black Forest in Germany, last name Buehler. He came to the U.S. around 1914, and was born in the mid 1800's. I don't know much about his family except that it was large. He was the youngest and was a mercenary. He fought in the Boer War and was a prisoner of war for two years on the Isle of man courtesy of the British. I don't know his first name, I think it was Joseph. Perhaps you are relatives. I don't know how common that name is in the Black Forest area.

I am looking for a Cecilia BUEHLER (b. 29 Oct., 1818 in Switzerland d. 8 Jan., 1890 in Montana Twp., Buffalo Co., WI) She was married to Florian DANUSER (b. 29 April, 1825 in Switzerland d.12 Sept., 1892 in Montana Twp., Buffalo Co., WI.) They were married in Switzerland & immigrated to America on 14th July, 1848 (Havre to New York) on the ship "Roscoe" with their 1 year old son, Leonhard DANUSER. (Their name is mis-spelled on the passenger list, "Dansser.") I decend from this line. Florian & Cecilia had at least 7 children.

Florian DANUSER's naturalization records on 25 Oct., 1876 lists witnesses as Jacob SENN & John BUEHLER (source: Vol. 2, pg. 340 in UW Eau Claire) I do not have a naturalization for Cecilia. But I do wonder if John is related to Cecilia & if so, how?

Could this be your line? I would love to share information if possible.

I am looking for information on Cecilia BUEHLER (b. 29 Oct 1818 in Switzerland- d. 8 Jan. 1890 Montana Twp., Buffalo Co., WI) m. Florian DANUSER (b. 29 April, 1825 in Switzerland- d. 12 Sep 1892 Montana Twp., Buffalo Co., WI) in Switzerland. They immigrated to America in 1848. The ship they sailed on was the Roscoe. It left Harve to New York-- arriving in New York on 14 July 1848. Their name is mis-spelled on the passenger list as "Dansser."

Florian purchased lots of land in Sauk Co. & Buffalo Co., WI. Florian became a naturalized citizen on 25 Oct. 1816 in Eau Claire WI. The witnesses listed are: Jacob SENN & John BUEHLER. I am wondering if John & Cecilia are related in some way. And if so, how?

Does anyone have these people listed in their families or have info on them?

Thank you!

Tiffany

Hi

I too have come across a family connection to the Weild's from Annan.

My ggggg grandmother was Agnes Weild. I have her birth details as 28/02/1795, her father - John Weild is mentioned but no details of her mother or siblings.

She married James Blenkinsop (mis-transcribed as Blinkinship) 4th June 1814.

I would love to hear from anyone who has any further details of Agnes, John or other Weilds...

Kind regards
Caroline

I believe that my aunt, Julia Buehler, may be the granddaughter of Theodore and Julia. If you are still interested, please contact me by email and I will forward your message to her.
