I have found that my Great-Grandmother Josephine Anna Buer was the daughter of Nicholas Beuhr. This difference in spelling had been a roadblock for some time. Has anyone else seen this spelling used?

I saw your reply and inquiry as to the country of origin of this Buer Line.
All indications are that Peter William Buer came from the Alsace Lorraaine area of Europe. First location where he is found is Ohio.

Edith Rebecca Buer & her decendants

Many thanks to June who sent me updates on this line.
I have now found the marriage certificate for Edith Rebecca Buer to Frank d'Harty in Yokohama, Japan in 1901.
I understand that they had a son, Frank and as yet I have not found him, but I'm still looking.
I would love to hear from anyone researching this family, Henry Wells Buer and Dinah Alice Butcher who married in 1867 in Croydon, Surrey. My great grandmother, the above Edith Rebecca Buer was the 4th female out of seven children altogether.

My Great-Grandmother was Edith Rebecca Buer, her parents were Henry Wells(Willis) Buer and Duiah? Alice, Henry's parents are William Buer and Frances Mary Tredway - married on 4 July 1837 in Old Street, St.Pancras, London.

the dates seem to tally with yours:-)
However I have not managed to find the marriage cert of Edith Rebecca Buer to William Morris Mordey, these are my Great-Grandparents.

I have found that my Great-Grandmothers maiden name was Edith Rebecca Buer and that she was born in 1876 in Kent, England.

Glendon J. " Glen " Buer, 84, of Oceanside died Feb. 13. He was born in Belle Fourche, S.D., and was the manager of a disability field office for the state Employment Development Department. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, retiring with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Buer; son, Timothy of Las Vegas; stepdaughter, Barbara of Manhattan Beach; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Marine Memorial Chapel at Camp Pendleton, with reception to follow at San Luis Rey Officers ' Club.
Interment: Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Zada May Bice was born in Minnesota on May 2,1882.She married Frank Buer who was born April 1,1882.The were married on September 13,1905 in Minnesota.Had the following children:

They may have lived in Long Prairie Minnesota.They were chicken farmers.I am trying to learn when Zada and Frank died and if any of the kids are still living.

Hi!
Just came across your message. Dr. Buer was my grandmother's brother. While I have information on him, I would appreciate copies of anything you have. He did have a practice in Mountainair NM and owned the drugstore there. He did work for the Santa Fe and at one time said that he had delivered half of Estancia Valley while he was there.
