Was checking the Buffington name on Ancestry & came across your entry dated 25 May 2002. I am a gggrandaughter to James A. Harrelson who married Amelia Buffington, 17 Jun 1838 in Adams Co.,Illinois, daughter to Jacob Buffington & Amelia Ann Harvey, m.26 Jun 1804. I would be interested in visiting your Ancestry site to verify the imformation I have on earlier family Joel Buffington, b.1754-55, Chester, PA,who married Elizabeth Logan. His parents William Buffington b.1700,PA. & Magdalena Lena Ferree b.1712,PA., and their other children. Williams parents Thomas Buffington b.1685-d.1739 & Ruth Cope b.16 Mar 1686,Delaware d.1729 Chester,PA & their children. To his father Richard Buffington & wife Ann Francis who are said to be the immigants from England in the Buffington family. It appears that the Buffington,Ferree & Dubois families are pretty intertwined in their marriages and probably immigrated around the same time frame in the 1670's.
