Hi Gwen
I can understand your impatience to find your relatives. I also am a Bugg relative. We may have something in common.
I found out a few years ago that I have sickle cell trait. This is found primarily in the black population. I am blonde haied and blue eyed and no one in my family has made a reference to black ancestors. When my son went in the navy he found out he had it and being that I'm a medical technologist I did a family study. My father who is a Shiflet gave it to me and after
a study of about five years and eleminating all relatives it appears that Rebecca Bugg, my Ggrandmother may be the one. I am excited and hope someone knows out there. She was born 1836 and married Archibald Shiflett on DEd 12 1851
in Gallia Ohio. The census from 1860 in Gallia county Ohio has her listed as being from Virginia, but I don't know for sure yet where she was born. All I know is I can't get her off my mind.Again I know how you feel.
Thanks
