Georgia-Louisiana Bugg Connection

RICHARD JORDAN  (View posts) Posted: 27 Jan 2001 8:23PM GMT
Looking for any info. on my great-great-grandfather Nathan Bugg. Nathan is from(Columbia County) Georgia. Not sure if he was born there or bought and taken there. Was brought to Louisiana by slave owner Bengimine Bugg around the early to mid. 1800's. Have found him in the 1870 Louisiana Census(claiborne parish). Nathan was married to a Margaret(last name unknown) also from Georgia. They settled in the Gordon Community of Haynesville Louisiana. They had several children one of which was name Ida my great-grandmother. I welcome any information or replies.
