Hello. I am Peter van der Jagt and live in
Holland. I am married with a Buhler, and have done
some research on that name in the past with my
brother in law, my wifes brother. We wanted to see
why the umlaut above the u in the name Buhler had disappeared
somewhere in history. We have traced the Buhler family back into
beginning 1800 (7 generations) and found out that somewhere
half way some clerck has forgotten the umlaut.
Now we have it back again on my wife's name, including her brothers.
But the archive is still there somewhere on the shelf.
