Looking for information about the parents of Abraham Buice. Born in South Carolina. Married (1) Harriet Buice and (2) Susan Katherine "Kate" Lee. Died in Forsyth County, Georgia.

I have seen several trees that give his father's name as Jonathan Buice (m. Rachel?) but cannot find conclusive proof. If anyone has documentation, please message me.

Thanks,
Michael Land

Hi Robert,
Sarah Evelyn Buice is my mother. She was married to Calvin Leon Headrick for 18 years then was divorced remarrying to Jerry Shelton of Carrolton,GA. Sarah died on Sept 18, 1982 and is buried at Mosley Garden Cemetery which is in Lithia Springs,GA. The cemetery is off Lee Road and this is in Douglas county. This is where Grandmother and Grandfather Buice are buried also along with Paul Buice. There are many Buice's buried in this cemetery. Her names reads Sarah Shelton on her marker and she is just a few feet away from her parents plots. I hope this helps.

Thomas Buis Rowan NC.

Have and interesting Mystery. I am looking for a unknown Bucy male probably born in Rowan NC. Then moving to Tennessee. I believe he might have had a sister named Tempe Busey (1807) whom married a Joseph Smith in Rowan, NC (1825)Later marrying again to an unknown Moody. He (Thomas Sr.??) was most likely born around 1810-15 (based on the age of his wife and first child)He had to of died before 1850. His wife's name was Nancy b.1815 Children Mary(1838) , Nancy C (1841), Thomas (1844) and maybe Elizabeth (1833. I believe that his mother must have died before 1960 because young Thomas and his sister Mary was sent to live with his "Aunt" Tempe. Nancy may have married by then?? And i have not found Elizabeth and Wiley Prince and their young son Lemeul on another census besides the 1850 one with Thomas and his Mother.
They have spelled their name multiple ways but am having a really hard time finding info. My only other "hint" was what my grandpa called the Busey eyes. They are a very light Grey/blue.
Some other family Interesting family names. Doshier BRAGG, REED, FANN, BARRETT . . .
any clues?

Alonzo remarried when Caroline died to an Ellen (Weedly?)and had Patsy, Lantha, Henry Grady, and Chesley. I have found that Pearl, Pickett and Pledger are buried at Sharon Church in Forsyth Co. Do you know the burial place of Alonzo? I went last week to the Buice family reunion in Cumming. No one could tell me anything about Alonzo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For everyone that is using Asa Asberry (Asbury) Bice as the husband of Mary Nix McWhorter and the father of William Henry, Elizabeth Nancy, Nancy Jane, Terelsta E, Martha, Cicero, Asa C Bice, I wish you would correct it to Asa G Buise as that was the man's name. A Michael Bice of Cullman Co, AL has listed the name as Asberry (Asbury) but there is no proof anywhere of this and people have taken it blindly as the way it is. His civil war records all list his middle initial as G. His widow, Mary Nix McWhorter, listed his middle initial as G in her widow's pension application. His grandsons, my father and uncles, all had middle names that started with the letter G in his honor. Please do the research before continuing to spread incorrect information.

Correction to Lurany/Luranie/Lusany, it’s not Bellamy it’s Surratt. I found a better confirmation of Lurany from a death certificate from one of their children J.J. (Joshua) Buice. Her name is listed as Lucinda Surrat. There was several Surrat families living in Sartanburg, SC in the 1790/1800s along with the Buice/Bice families that descended from David.

http://content.sos.state.ga.us/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT...
I'm looking for information for a Lucinda or perhaps a Lurany Surratt b abt. 1822, married to Joshua Buice b abt. 1817 son of David Buice Spartanburg, SC.

They left SC by 1850 and settled in Cobb County/Milton Georgia. In the 1870 census, Lucinda(Laura) is living with an Elender Surrat female b. abt 1792. Perhaps Elender is her mother. Does anyone have an Elender Surratt listed in their family?

Also anyone know around when Joshua passed? Last entry for Joshua was in Cobb County Georgia, 1850 census.

Stephanie, Louis Buice and Leatha Holder. I am related through the Holders Leatha's mom and dad are Daniel and Amanda Sinclair Holder. Daniel's parent's James Berman Holder and Sally Murphy. James was actually married twice his second wife was Nancy Bates. That's where my family came in. They had Robert Gary Holder who married Lucy Gibert Kennedy. Robert and Lucy had Ada Holder who was my great grandmother. She married Sam Mabry and they had my grandmother Nellie Mabry. I am researching the Holder's but have very little info on Leatha and Louis family. Anything would help. Thanks Leslie

Stephanie Does your Great Aunt Margaret remember who her grandfather on the Buice's side is? Could it be Noah and Permerly Jane Grant? Does she remember her grandmother on the Holder's side Amanda Sinclair and where she might be buried? Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my message. I am at a dead end on the Sinclairs. Leatha's mom and dad were Daniel Pinkney Holder married to Hannah Amanda Sinclair in Union S. C. They had many children who I can't find anything on. Anything you have or find out I will appreciate. Leslie
