My 3 x great grandfather was John Buick. His daughter Catherine was born about 1840-43 and she married William John Eccles and together with Williams brother Thomas they migrated to New Zealand in 1874 settling in Oamaru.
I have hit a brick wall trying to find out anything about John Buick. I would assume he was born before 1820.
