Maartje Buijs, or Buys, was born on 22-mar-1882 in Barneveld, province of Gelderland in the Netherlands, daughter of Evert Buijs and Jantje van Maanen. She married on 21-mar-1906 in Nijkerk, province of Gelderland to Hendrik (Henry) van Ruler, born 23-nov-1886 in Nijkerk, son of Hannes van Ruler and Gerritje van Rijswijk. On 10-feb-1910 they emmigtated with two children to U.S. where seven more children were born.
On 30-jun-1967 Henry died in Minneapolis, mn.
