Thank you for your response.

Do you know of another orphanage from that time period in New Orleans. Someone had posted that it was a Masonic Orphanage, but, the Masonic lodge in Alexandria did not have any records of an orphanage.

We appreciate your help. Thank you again.

Jane

I would like to find information for a child who was adopted from an orphanage in New orleans. He was born Nov 21, 1907. He was adopted by Edward and Florence Ranck. All the parties involved have died and I don't have any other information. I was researching to find a mother who died on that same date and her name was Stella Buisson. The child adopted was named Clarence Martin Ranck, and he only had one son, Clarence Martin Ranck, Jr., my husband.
Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Jane Ranck

Pierre Peter Buisson-Bisson-Besaw-Bisonette & Rose Emard-Hemard-Menard, Quebec >Franklin Co, NY

Looking for information and connection to anyone having data on the above couple. Pierre BUISSON of Chateauguay,Quebec became Peter Bisson, Beesaw, or Bisonette when in USA. He was born abt 1793, son of Pierre BUISSON and Charlotte DESGROSEILLERS of Quebec, and married Rosa-Rose Aimard-Hemard-Emard aka MENARD also b Chateauguay 7 Feb 1798 - couple supposedly married 1816 in St. Joachim-de- Chateauguay,Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada. Rose was the daughter of Antoine Emard-Hemard-Aymard aka MENARD and Marie Louise Premo-Primo aka PREAMEAU of Quebec. Peter and Rose resided briefly in the 1850 Fed Census of Constable, Franklin Co, New York. Children listed were Joseph, Toussaint, Rose, Charles, Alexander, Horace, and Hannah. Believe Rose to be a sister of my ancestor (Catherine Menard Poirier aka Peach) who also lives in Constable, NY, but need more info to confirm. Thanks in advance, appreciate any help!

Cleveland Buisson, New Orleans, LA

I am looking for anyone that has information about the Buisson family tree. My grandfather was Cleveland Buisson, his brother was John Buisson, sister was Rita Buisson later Green. They were born in or around New Orleans, their father was also Cleveland. I have heard other names like, Harry, Charlie, and Margurite. I know that there was either a uncle or grandfather probably in the 1700 or 1800 that either wrote or helped write the French dictionary in France. Cleveland Sr. died in 1965, Cleveland Jr. died in 1987, John died in 1984, and Rita died in 1994. Anyone that can help please contact me at: SPANGLESGULIAN@AOL.COM THANK YOU.
