looking for Bulkley, Salina, Kansas and Oklahoma City.

My grandmother was Elizabeth Bulkley, born 1903 in Salina, Kansas. I know that she had two sisters named Frances and
Edith and that their mother was called Nellie. My last memory of the family is around 1960 when Nellie died in Oklahoma City. Frances married a doctor named Turner whom we called Uncle Jack though that was not his first name. The Bulkleys seem to be gone from Oklahoma City. I
would like very much to find this family and learn their history.
Thanks so much. Elizabeth Snow

Wish I could help you find a connection. My Bulkeley/Bulkley families came from Massachusetts and Connecticut, went through Illinois to Kansas and then to Oklahoma. On another note, my step-grandfather (no relation) has Clinkscales in his tree. He was from Missouri.

I am new to the world of genealogy, so forgive me if I fumble at this process. I grew up on the farm that Burage/Deborah started in Ohio. My father was the final male Bulkley descendant of Burage to live on the farm. At this point, my sisters and I still own the farm. I too am interested in information on Burage and Deborah.

Robert died in Lincoln County, Arkansas in 1952.

Thomas married Samantha Clementine Porter in Connersville, Indiana about 1862.
Now, I'm seeking info on the parents of Thomas Bulkley.

His death certificate says his parents were Robert Bulkley and Mary Porter. I have not found the senior Robert Bulkley, but there is a Thomas Bulkley of that era and other Bulkleys buried in Beattie, Kansas.

I am searching for information on ancestors for Maude Estelle Bulkley born December 1886 or 1887 in New York and passed away 2 Dec 1960 in New Jersey and buried in Pennsylvania. Her father is Robert S Bulkley born around 1866 in New York and I think I've found his family. His parents were Frederick and Adelia Bulkley. She was married to George Nathan Lewis Bird in 17 Mar 1908. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this family. In 1900 Maude is living with her aunt, so I think that her parents might have passed away before then.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you ever so much,
Cheryl

I am trying to locate James Howard Bulkley. I believe I am closely related to him but lost track of him after 1929. What I know is: He was born about 1913 in Spartanburg, SC where he lived with his father Charles and mother Louise at 584 Otis Blvd. His father died in 1929, his mother died in 1952 and they are both buried in Oakwood cemetery. He also had a brother who died at an early age. I could not find him in the local high school yearbooks.I found him listed at the Citadel as a member of the “Summerall Guards” in the class of 1934.

Hi all, I am looking for any information on the artist Miriam Wilson Bulkley. She was a painter who resided on Bolsa Avenue in Newport Beach, CA possibly in the 1950s and 1960s. One gallery which represented her works was The Golden Palette on East 17th Street in Costa Mesa, CA.

Not sure if Bulkley was her married name or her surname before marriage. Wilson could've been her maiden name or just a middle name. Am researching the history on this artist; looking for descendants or relatives who might have any tidbits. Thanks!

I am fairly certain that a Wilford Willoughby Bulkley left Australia and arrived in South Africa by 1900. I know nothing about him after this date but it is possible he had a wife and a child or two with him and your Bulkleys could be related. The names are familiar Bulkley names.
Hope to hear from you.
Joan Herman New Zealand

still looking for BULKLEY connections

Through census images I have found my grandmother's
family in Salina, Kansas. Her father Fred C. was a
merchant still active in 1930. His father was Charles S.
Bulkley. Fred was born in Illinois. Charles was born in
Massachusetts. I found the family in 1870 in Newton TWP,
Jasper, Iowa. Fred's mother was named Amelia and she was
born in N.Y. I also found them in the 1880 census in
Scandia, Republic, Kansas. I'm pretty sure I have the
right family despite the fact that the enumerator made a lot
of errors. I have had no success with any other information.
Do these name ring any bells?
