Hi, I haven't come across anyone by the name of Thomas or Lou in my family tree. Who knows how many siblings or relatives my great great grandfather William may have had. I haven't worked on the Bullion tree in a couple of months, but I will soon. I haven't been able to find out anything else on Ancestry.com. My next step is to contact vital records in Texas and go from there. I have to admit that this search is very exciting and I'm looking forward to finding out everything that I can.

Hi I cannot help you but wonder if you know anything about mine. My Gr Grandmother Lualis/Lou Fain Houck married as his second wife (her second husband) Thomas Bullion in Hopkins County Texas on 17 Oct 1866. By 1880 he was dead, she moved to Cooke County and then by 1892 was in Lampasas. Thomas and she had 2 children Minnie D. who married J. R. Grim and Edward John who married Ella and died in Lampasas.
I have traced Ed's family, but not to any living ones. With Minnie's I've had no luck. I am descended from Lou's first marriage to William Houck
Sandra Stutters 3518 Brookfield Lane Pueblo CO 81005
719-561-3546

In the 1930 Census James Monroe Bullion states he was 19 when he was married the for the first time? In the 1920 Census, James M. Bullion lists his place of birth as England. My great-grandfather, A. (Alfred) H. (Herman) Bullion, also living in Kingsport, lists his father as having been born in England. James Monroe Bullion is the only Bullion I can find in any census data having been born in England that would be the right age to have been A.H.'s father. I also find it interesting that both were living in Kingsport. In prior censuses James M. lists his place of birth as North Carolina and in 1930 he lists his birthplace as Tennessee. Do you know anything about his first wife?

Clark Bullion, Herkimer Co., NY

Bullion, Clark L., Warren, was born in Warren September 21, 1865, a son of James and Phoebe (Cole) Bullion. The grandfather, Andrew, was a son of William, and married Isabella Marshall, both of Scotland, they had five children: James, Andrew, Alexander, Janette and Margaret. The last two named died in Scotland; the rest all came to the United States about 1800, and settled in Warren. Andrew Bullion located on 256 acres west of Cullen, and died in Richfield Springs. His first wife was Geneth Puller, and their children were: John, William, James, Isabel, Anna, Libbie and Mary. James Bullion was born west of Cullen, where he resided until his death in 1877, aged sixty-five. He was twice married, first, to a Miss McCready, by whom he had three children; Monroe of Nebraska, Nettie and Laura Ames. His second wife bore him two children: Jennie, deceased, wife of Curt. Palmer, and Clark L. She died April 16, 1892, aged fifty-nine years. Clark L. received a district and seminary education, and since fourteen years of age has made his own living. He served in town offices as a Republican, and was collector. He owns 100 acres of the homestead, and has added twenty acres since. He married in November, 1884, Ida Bellinger, born at Jacksonburgh, a daughter of Norman and Anna (Baxter) Bellinger. They have one child, Harry J. Subject and wife are Universalists.

source:
History of Herkimer County, New York : illustrated with portraits of many of its citizens
edited by George A.

Print is such an unusual first name that I couldn't resist doing this. But this is only going to work if your a contortionist! Ha ha sorry. I have a Balious Print Vinson and my Vinson line in Kentucky. The Vinsons and and Bullion family crossed in Kentucky about late 1700s early 1800s.

Henry Vinson married Permelia Futrell and they were the parents of Balious Print Vinson. Thomas Allison Vinson, brother of Balious Print was born about 1825. Thomas A. Vinson married Alpha Sholar and had Permelia Emily Vinson. Permelia' Emily Vinson's mother-n-law was Elizabeth Bullion Myatt, and her uncle was a Balious Print Vinson!

Sooo....Elizabeth Bullion possibly married a Wiley S. Myatt or William Myatt while living in Kentucky. This is where I loose the Bullion connection. At any rate there is a Print in the Vinson line that crosses through the Bullions.

I know this is a wicked web, but it is such an unusual name that I thought it might be something. It is early morning though so please allow me some excuses should this appear so outlandish.

Sincerely Tracie Tudor Gross

Hi all, I have been working also on WIlliam Lafayette Bullions lineage, he is my great grandfather thru his
daughter Edna Jane Bullion who married Thomas Wayne Moore in Webster Springs, WVa. My aunt still has William's family bible with al the names listed and birthdates. In finding his parents names, Isaac and Mira (Elymra) I believe he named his first daughter after his mother, just spelled a little different.
Almira. We have pictures of all the children except, Almira, Bessie. We also have William with his 2 brothers and of William's 2nd wife, Melcina. I would be glad to send copies by email to anyone wanting them. I am still trying to track the Cherokee lineage thru Elymra somehow. Does anyone else know about the Cherokee line? I would like to learn more about Eva Ann to add to my family history. She lived in Wise, Virginia ~on the mountain road near the college if memory serves me correct. I went there with my father a few times when I was very young. My half-sister lived with her grandmother but I do not recall the grandmother's name. Do you have any information on Eva Ann? Please let me hear from you at your earliest opportunity. I sincerely appreciate any information you may have.
Kind regards,
Barbara Moore

Cathy,
I wish that I could say that I had any real information in answer to your question. I am also descended from James R. Bullion and Hannah Flenner. Unfortunately, I am at the same blocking point as you with the possible exception that the 1850 census for Parke county, page 246a lists a John Bullion (not the one you reference above as this one would have been born around 1785) as having been born in New Jersey. So far I have had no luck pursuing this possible lead. If you are fortunate enough to find something on these folks, I would appreciate knowing. If I find anything, I will let you know.

kathy , Rosa was my grandmothers half sister , my grandmother was Bessie Allie , we have the same tales of being of cherokee desendents , so maybe it was great grandpa william , who was indian or maybe even his mother, suppose to be full blooded is what we were told. his name was William because i have grandma Bessies , death certificate , and it lists her father as William Bullion . I also have some census records showing the family in fork lick distric of Webster County WV in 1910 when Rosa was 8 years old . Her Mother Melcina , was Born in Nicholas County around 1876 William was born in Webster County in 1860 . Please feel free to email me , we are kin , connected through GreatGrandpa William
