Karen, I was wondering if you ever received any other info on your message. My maiden name is Bulow and my ancestors are from Chicago. My gr gr grandfather, Fred, had a son William who married Catherine Dolman and had 11 children including a set of triplet boys. His daughter Gertrude was 10 years old in 1920. The reason I believe Catherine's last name was Dolman is because the 1920 census shows Gustav Dolman in their household and relation to head is father-in-law.
I know there are several Bulows coming from Chicago that are apparently not related. They all seem to have sons named William (including my father and grandfather).
