I am looking for information on Eugene F. Bunch, b. 9 Feb 1843 in MS, d. 19 Aug 1892 Washington Par., LA. He was md. to M. Flavia ?, b. ca 1846 LA. He was the son of James Bunch, b. ca 1815 and Martha R. ?, b. ca 1819 MS. Could his father, James Bunch be the James Bunch who was the son of Jacob Bunch, b. ca 1780, d. 1825 Wilkinson Co., MS. and Rebecca ?. I have that Jacob & Rebecca Bunch's son James was b. ca 1820. Eugene F. Bunch was Washington Parish's most famous outlaw. He was a school teacher in Washington & Tangipahoa Parishes, a Confederate veteran, Clerk of Court in Cook Co., TX. and edited a weekly newspaper in Wichita Falls, TX. He turned into a gambler and a train robber who robbed trains on the Illinois Central and Southern Railway Lines. Any information would be appreciated!
