We are working on the William Bundrum and Maggie Taylor Bundrum line. We have found seven children, ?, Homer, Mamie, Mona, Geneva, Marvin Birdsong and Kate. Our line is Marvin Birdsong Bundrum. Do you tie into any of these. We have found where William, Maggie, Homer and his wife, Irene and Marvin are buried in Surrett's Cemetery, Arkabutla, Tate, Mississippi.

Some family info I found on the web....

Notes for EDWARD BUNDRUM:
Sharon Kingen <sakingen@hrtc.net> was kind to send this information on 7 February 2002: "Dear Pat,
This message comes in regard to data you have posted on Ancestry.com concerning Nancy Martin who married Edward Bundrum. I know that this is his name as it appears in the records of the Providence Church, but I believe that this was actually Edward Bondurant as shown in the court records of Madison Co., KY. In 1816 Edward was a trustee of Boonesborough. Edward and Nancy had about 11 children. I don't have all of their names, but I do have some. Marriage records indicate that Edward and Nancy lived in Madison Co., KY until about 1829. The family is still there in the 1830 census, but land records show that Edward sold his 130 acres on the Kentucky River in Aug of 1830. By 1833 the family had migrated to Pike Co., MO where one of the children married. Nancy reportedly d. 1838, but I'm not sure where although I suspect it was in the vicinity of Pike Co., MO. Her husband Edward d. 20 Nov 1855 and is buried in the Knobknoster Cem., Johnson Co., MO. I realize that this is rather sketchy. This is not my direct line of Bondurants, so I have not been diligent about seeking details. However, there is at least
one person who is researching this line. His name is Jeff Culpeper and he lives in the vicinity of Powhatan Co., VA. His e-mail is jjcul@earthlink.net If you are interested in tracking this branch of John
Martin's descendants, you might want to contact Jeff. You might also try this e-mail MomBondo@aol.com (Sorry, I don't have the actual name of this person at hand). She says that descendants of Edward went to NV. Thanks for posting all of the carefully documented information on John Martin and Rachel Pace. The Bondurants were also from VA - Goochland, Cumberland, Powhatan, and Buckingham Co. Unfortunately, we do not yet know who Edward's father was. Hope this helps.
Sharon Kingen
Greetings Michelle!

If what you say is true, then we are definatley without a doubt cousins!! Sorry, but I haven't looked at the Ancestry postings for quite some time, so I am sure that this posting comes as a surprise since it has been nearly a year since you posted.

I would greatly appreciate any pictures you have with my father in them or our grandmother (Burma) and grandfather (Thomas) etc... I have none of them what so ever. Nothing to pass along to my sons.

I met your father James and his siblings one time. This was when his brother (my father) Leonard passed away in 1971. My father was buried there in Georgia near their mother.

Your father and my father were almost identical in looks. I remember after the funeral, your father asking me if I had somewhere to live. He sweetly told me that if I didn't he would take me in. I have never forgotten what a wonderful gesture that was. I have never forgotten how much he resembled my father and how sweet he was.

I have a son that looks identical to the both your father and mine. Actually I carry a very strong resemblance as well.

I truly hope to hear from you. It would be great to be in contact with someone from my fathers side. I know so very little about the family. God bless...and please keep in touch!!

BUNDRUM FAMILY HISTORY

My name is David Bundrum, born in Tampa, FL, now live in Chesapeake, VA. If you do a GOOGLE search on the name Bundrum, you will be amazed what you find. I found census records, marriage records, and death notices back as far as 1820. Growing up, I thought we were a relatively small family, mostly in Central Florida. It seems we are all over the south, especially in Alabama. Anyway, if I can ever assist anyone in gathering information on the family, please let me know.

Dave Bundrum

Bundrum Family in Alabama

My Grandmother was Francis Berthanne Bundrum b. 1888 she thought in GA. Her parents were John Lewis Bundrum and Nancy Taylor. John Lewis got into some trouble and moved away till things could cool down. When he returned his wife Nancy and most of his children had died from Typhoid. Frances Berthanne and James Garfield (Buddy) were the only ones to survive. They had been moved to Alabama with their mother's sister.
John Lewis's father was James. You can find a record of James in Cleburne County, Alabama. Is this the family you are researching?
