Looking for birthplace & birth parents of JAMES BUNDY b. 1800 (don't know where). m. Louisa Weir b. 1814 Indiana. James was adopted by the Weir family, either Louisa's father William or his brother John.

James is not on any census of IN but his family is. A son, Benoni, on the 1880 census says his father was born VA & his mother also BUT his mother, Louisa, is on the same census & says she was b. KY. One informant says she was born in Knox Co IN but maybe I should be looking in Knox Co TN.or in KY. I have looked but didn't find anything. I have the 1850 & 1880 census for Posey Co but need 1830 or 1840 to see if James is there. He d. 1847

Anyway, James purportedly of Indian descent. Lots o Bundy's in Miami Co IN where the Miami Indians are from.
