Richard Bunker born 1847, Steppingley
A thankyou to whomever it was who put on this wonderful site, the family tree, for my great great grandfather. I have always wanted to get as far back as possible, here is the link

Just one or two things left to clear up. Firstly my grandmother has on her wall a crest, with the Bunker coat of arms. Except it is not the usuall yellow lion on a blue background surrounded by three bezants. As far as I can remember it had a strange textured background and what appeared through my very young eyes to be the number four on it. Now thinking about it later there are no numbers in heraldry and what I may have been looking at was a quarter with a stripe in the top left hand quarter. She said she got the arms from a relative in a america. If anybody has any idea as to the origins of this coat of arms please feel free to post on this site.
