I am looking for information on my grandfather, Farmer Brown Bunn,1868-1931. Helived most of his life in the griffin, Barnesville area. I know he married Lorraine Folds and they had 3 boys, Grady ( married Virginia Sutton), Gene and Tom ( married Gladys Buice). In 1916 he married Rosa May Faulkner (1889-1975, parents Tom and Ada- Mann Faulkner) in Pike county. They lived in Barnesville after 1920. Rosa was previously married to a Sutton and had a son named Olin. Rosa and Farmer had sons Raymond, Henry (my dad), John Robert, Melvin ( had a twin who died in infancy, and melvin died at a very young age also.) I believe Farmer had 2 sisters, Pearl, who married Fronny Marable, and Rosa, who never married and died in a home in Milledgeville. In 1931, in Barnesville, Farmer died from what I was told from a gun shot wound inflicted by one of his older sons. I was also told that Farmer actually shot himself. I guess he had a stroke some time before this occurred and it had left him blind. I havent been able to find anything on Farmer before 1920. I would like to know who his parents were and how it all ties in with all the other Bunns in the area. We are of Indian heritage also. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
