MUSCATINE
Marian J. Bunn, 72, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Jan 2, 2000, at Unity Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Walden Askren of Mulford Evangelical Free Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Vocalist will be Andy Landers.

Visitation will be at the funeral home with Eastern Star service. Memorials may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star Electa Chapter No. 32.

Mrs. Bunn was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Muscatine, the daughter of William A. and Verna M. Bierman Fabrizious. She married John Bunn on Nov. 3, 1945, in Muscatine. She was Past Matron of the Eastern Star Electa Chapter 32, member of Mulford Evangelical Free Church, Grand Cross of Rainbow, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Daughter of the Nile, and Past Grand Martha of Eastern Star for State of Iowa. She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 15 years. Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Julie Kaalberg and her husband, Gary and Lynda Connell and her husband, Jerry, all of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Christy and Robert Connell, Jennifer Kaalberg Freers and her husband, David and Jacqueline Kaalberg; a sister, June McGuire of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Ed Schultheis

MUSCATINE, Iowa
John Hugh Bunn, 77, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at the Unity Hospital.

Services will be at at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Revs. Walden Askren and Bryan Johnson will officiate. Organist will be Barb Bartelt and vocalist will be Andy Landers. Pallbearers will be Mark Bunn, Charles Bunn, Larry Bunn, Dennis McGuire, Ronald Carpenter and Rod Summy. Burial will be at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the service there will be a luncheon in the Community Room at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children Hospital and to the Mulford Evangelical Free Church

He was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Letts, the son of William E. and Elvira A. Keener Bunn. He married Marian J. Fabrizius on Nov. 3, 1945, in Muscatine.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Muscatine, KAABA Shrine of Davenport, Eastern Star Electa Chapter No. 32 of Muscatine, White Shrine of Muscatine, and Mulford Evangelical Free Church of Muscatine.

He worked at Grain Processing for 39 and a half years before his retirement.

He was one of four that started Little League in Muscatine and has served as President of Little League and was the district administrator for Eastern Iowa serving for 22 years. He was also on the International Little League Board of Directors. He was also a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie Kaalberg and her husband, Gary, and Lynda Connell and her husband, Jerry, all of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Christy and Robert 'R.J.' Connell, Jennifer Kaalberg Freers and her husband, David, and Jacqueline Kaalberg; three brothers, Art Bunn and Jack Bunn, both of Muscatine, and Norman Bunn of Davenport; three sisters, Katheryn Gordon, Winifred Carpenter and Patricia VanAcker, all of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, on Jan. 2, 2000; a brother, Fred Bunn; and two sisters, Emma Burbank and Eva Titus.

MUSCATINE, Iowa
Richard A. Bunn, 79, of Muscatine, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at home on Bidwell Road surrounded by his family.

A private committal service will be held at a later date, officiated by Reverend David Ivie. The service will be held in the walnut grove that Richard planted for the future, at Seven Oaks Farm on Bidwell Road. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice.

He was born on July 6, 1929, in Muscatine, the son of Rudolph and Villa Mark Bunn. He graduated from Muscatine High School in the class of 1948, where he lettered in track and football, and also belonged to the FFA.

On February 20, 1949, he married Ella Mae Huff. They just commemorated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Richard farmed for twenty years and built a herd of Jersey cows. For thirty years he was a carpenter. After his retirement, he had many woodworking projects.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Bunn of Muscatine; daughters, Sally Potter of Muscatine, and Jenny Paetz and husband, Larry, of Muscatine; one son, Joe Bunn and wife, Helen, of Oswego, Illinois; four grandchildren, Matthew Potter, Jamie Potter, Rachel Potter and Emily Bunn; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Bunn and wife, Betty Jo, of Muscatine; a brother-in-law, Joe Huff and wife, Shirley, of Muscatine; a sister-in-law, Ann Huff of Onalaska, Wisconsin; two nephews and two nieces and their spouses; and one uncle, Bill Bunn and wife, Annavene, of Ojai, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Ross and Myrtle Huff, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bunn, a brother-in-law, Don Huff, and several aunts and uncles.
