Hello. I'm searching for the parents of my gg grandfather William Henderson Buntin, b. 1817 on Hyco (Hico) Creek, Halifax CO. VA. d. Hopkins CO. KY 1901. Around 1827 William Henderson moved with his family to Person CO. NC. From his own notes he says his father died about five years later and his mother 10 years afterward. The orphans were sent to live with relatives. William Henderson mentions brothers Jim (possibly James) John, Sammuel, and sister Nancy Greenwood. There were other siblings also. The best possiblility for his father is George William (or William George) Buntin b. Halifax CO. ca 1790, d. Person CO. NC ca 1830. He may or may not have been married to a Faucette Greenwood. The other possiblilities for Wm. Henderson's parents mayby William and Penelope Buntin married around 1780 in NC. Another could be William and Sarah Buntin married in NC. around 1808.
