I guess it depends on whether we have the same name. Our name was spelled at various times in history as Buntzel. Actually the phonetic pronunciation of the name is as yours is spelled. I travel to Germany all of the time and your name is spelled how the Germans pronounce it.

My branch originally is supposed to come from Bunzlau (now Boleslawiec), a West Silesian town in between Breslau (now Wroclav) and the Eastern German border. This area is now Poland.

My family immigrated from some villages further North Margonin and Pilsen (now Pila)and I have records that document this. I am not sure if they came to this area from Bunzlau.

My family immigrated to Wisconsin in the 1870s. I live in the San Jose, CA area.
