William and Mary Burbank - Springwells, MI (Detroit, MI) - 1800's
I am looking for the ancestors and descendants of the following family. In the 1880 census, they resided in Springwells, MI which is now part of Detroit, MI. I must note that it says that both of Williams parents were also born in Michigan.
William Burbank was born Abt. 1829 in Michigan. He married Mary. She was born Abt. 1833 in Ireland.
Children of William Burbank and Mary are:
*Sylvester Burbank, born Abt. 1853 in Michigan.
*Mary Burbank, born Abt. 1855 in Michigan.
*John Burbank, born Abt. 1857 in Michigan.
*Charles Burbank, born 29 Apr 1863 in Michigan; died Abt. 1903.
*Kitty Burbank, born Abt. 1864 in Michigan.
*Victoria Burbank, born Abt. 1864 in Michigan.
*James E Burbank, born 26 Oct 1868 in Michigan.
I only know that John never married. Charles is my direct ancestor - he married Lillian E Smith. James married Mary and they had at least five children (listed below).

*Alice E Burbank, born 1889 in Ohio. (She married Simkins)
*William J Burbank, born 31 Jan 1892 in Indiana.
*Marie E Burbank, born 1894 in Indiana.
*Carrie M Burbank, born 29 Nov 1898 in Indiana.
*Mathilda C Burbank, born Abt. 1902 in Indiana.
As far as Charles Burbank and Lillian Smith, I do know that they had 6 children (listed below).
*Isabelle Burbank. (I know nothing about her, there is no record of her in any census).
*William Charles Burbank, born 06 May 1884 in Michigan; died 10 Jun 1946 in Ohio.(My direct Ancestor - his daughter is still alive and 93 years old.)
*Harry S Burbank, born 14 Aug 1887; died 12 Feb 1955. (He married Sarah L Roberts and they had two children - Thelma and Stanley)
*Russell A Burbank, born 10 Apr 1889 in Michigan; died 06 Apr 1963 in Michigan. (Married a Margaret and had three children)
*George L Burbank, born 24 Dec 1893 in Michigan; died 25 Jul 1968 in Riverside, Wayne County, MI. (Married Eva Duprie)
*Darrell Dane Burbank, born 19 Feb 1898 in Delray, Wayne County, MI; died 25 Nov 1970 in Detroit, Wayne County, MI. (Married Edith Carr)
