I need to update the posting I have on Ancestry.com. I am one of the success stories. My first posting was in the year 2000. You can read them to understand that I was searching for my Father and/or his people.

In 2008, my dear cousin Judy answered my query. She has done extensive genealogy on the Burd family, and she recognized the people in my search. With her invaluable assistance, I have found my aunt and a host of cousins. I have been to KY to meet them. Regrettably, I also found out that my Father passed away in 1974.

I still have a half sister named Diana Kay that I hope to someday find and get to know. Getting to know all of my Burd kin has enriched my life immeasurely. I am truly blessed.

As Judy has already told you, we descend from William Spencer Burd. My Grand Father was Robert "Bob" Burd, who was the son of James Robert Burd and Susan Emily (Susie) Harper Burd.
