Joseph Burda Jr. (3/16/1894-1931) immigrated from Vienna, Austria with his parents and brothers Ed and Frank Burda. He married Lucille Elenz (2/9/1890-1961) and settled in Chicago, IL to raise their family Albina (my Gram), George, Robert, Jerry, Marianne and Lorraine Burda. His father Joseph Sr. was a tailor in Strunkovice, and brought with him his brother Frank and sister Magdalena when he immigrated with his family. I have been told Joseph Sr.'s father was named Matthew but he spelled it differently. His sisters Theresa, Marena, Anna, Lenorka, Katrina stayed behind. Joseph Sr. married Albina Slad Burda (also from Vienna). I am looking for any information on the family left behind in addition to information on Joseph Sr.'s siblings Frank and Magdalena who came to America with him. I do have some info on Albina (my Great, great-grandmother), she owned a resort/dance hall on North Lake in Breezeville, MI; she died at 99 yrs from a broken hip which didn't heal properly and is buried in Breezeville. Any information would be appreciated by myself and my Gram who now lives in WI.
