Elizabeth Burdis was my ggg-grandmother, born about 1815 in Newcastle on Tyne, father George Burdis a Banker, mother Eleanor. Elizabeth married Thomas Richard Moore, from Durham in about 1836. Thomas became a Doctor, later was Mayor of Salisbury and the family emigrated to New Zealand in 1851. I haven't been able to definitively get back further, though I have found some (mainly census) information that I believe relates to Elizabeth's family. Would love to contact any possible relatives, or anyone who might be able to take this line back further - don't like my chances with the Moores!
