Am seeking information on the ancestors of PETER BURGER, who was my gr-gr-gr-gr grandfather. father of HARRISON BURGER, my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. I just recently found information that said HARRISON BURGER was b in Pulaski Co., KY in abt 1829. His father, PETER BURGER, m Catherine Hines in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY 22 Apr 1824. PETER BURGER's est. date of birth was 1779-1808. This information was obtained from World Family Tree, Vol. 3, Pedigree #182. I have also been told that their surname was Burket and that HARRISON BURGER took the name BURGER from Burket after the Civil War.

Also a contact said that after Catherine's death, Peter Burket (BURGER) m Mary Ann Harris Van Hook, widow of Lawrence VanHook on 3 Sept 1841. An 1850 census listed a Peter Burket, age 49 b in VA.

I anyone has any information on this famly, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. I am really mixed up trying to get this family straightened out. I would appreciate getting replies in email please.
