My gg-Grandmother was Elsie Dana (Patsy) Burges/Burgess born 1836 in Hardin County Kentucky. She married Francis Snawder. Her father was William D. Burges/Burgess. They all lived in Louisville or Jefferson county most of the time. He married Nancy Adams or McAdams. Other children were William b.1838, Alice b. 1837, Mary b. 1839, Anna b. 1842 and John b. 1849.

John, it has been quite awhile since you posted this so you probably already have this info, but here goes anyway.

Rhoda, my g grandmother, was actually the daughter of Jeffrey Treat and Mary Burgess, who had three other children, Clinton, Louisa, and William.

Rhoda married George W. Stevens on 22 Jul 1886, in White County, IL. They had nine children including my grandmother Pearl Pauline Stevens.

I have quite a bit of info on the Treat side, where I am stumped is on George's family, in that I can't find them.

Email me and I will provide what I have and I will be eternally grateful for any pieces of the puzzle you can provide.

I am researching Burgess' from the same area. Hope we can help each other. The latest information on the Burgess is that they moved to New Jersey a few years ago. James Burgess and his family. I need to know more about his brothers where about. He had a sister name Margaret I believe. I did locate James on the census record with his father. Don't have that information right in front of me so I am guessing maybe the 1910 or 1920 census. James Burgess's father was James Burgess and he has a son by the same name which would be James Burgess III. Not able to locate the wife's name on the first James Burgess. Yes I do have the wife's name for the James Burges II and III is not married.
Can you give me information on the borthers -their children's name and if you would have anything on their sister whose's name is Margaret Burgess. Don't know her married name.. Lu was born abt 1854(this may be a transcription error as Lu's birth is shown as 1844, by other researchers) & Lucinda abt. 1851. Burges children at this time were:
Lucinda E. Burges (b. 1873 AR)
Mary L. Burges (b. 1877 AR)
Earnest Burges (b. 1880 AR)
Also, living with this Burges family were:
Daniel J. Scott, age 18
George Scott, age 20 "brothers in law" of Lu R. Burges. Lu's wife, Lucinda may be 6th child of J.(possibly James)B. or M. Scott and his wife Nancy Hively Scott.

I might have found the ship he came to Canada on. It says 1912 from Liverpool would make his birthday 1898. 10-12 children in family. I have just started the search a month ago.
