I dont know much about the burgess family only that my maternal grandmother was a burgess, her name was Mesepa Burgess and her father was Fredrick Burgess. Im pretty sure he was full european ( either english or dutch or so i have heard) Would love to know the history on how he ended up in Samoa. My grandmother ended up marrying Seumanutafa Lafaialii and lived in Falealupo Savaii as well as Faatoia. would be great to tell my chilren the connection as well.
