Loved Ones Summoned Hence
Severin J. Burich and Mrs. Davis Die.
Pioneer Tailor and Former Resident of Union Townshp Called Home - Well Known in Iowa City
Severin J. Burich, the well-known veteran tailor, passed away this morning, death coming rather suddenly and unexpectedly, although the pioneer had been ill a week.
He was 76 years of age and had lived at his homestead, at 704 East Jefferson street.
He leaves a wife and seven grown children, with whom a host ofwarm rfiends [sic] will mourn sincerely.
The funeral will take place Monday morning at 10 ‘clock from St. Wenceslaus church.
A sad feature of Mr. Burich’s sudden summons is that it comes at a time, when he and his good wife were planning to celebrate in May, their golden wedding anniversary.
