Hello, I came across your query while looking for anyone connected to my Burkes. Some of the names clicked, so I grabbed my book and checked. My ancestor William Burke born in 1736 and died in 1809 in RI had twin sons named Edward and Edmund born in 1775. Edward had sons named Edmund, Phillip, and William. Doing simple math, they could have been born in early 1800's. Your Edmund could be a son from one of those brothers. That is all the information I have, but there could be a connection. It gives me another avenue to go down and maybe you would be able to find your ancestors. The name Ida Jane sounds familiar too me, I may have come across it over the years. Have you heard of or read the geneaology of Richard Burke of Sudbury, Massachusetts? I haven't been able to connect with him, but you may.
