There were Two Ansons. The first one did fight in the revolutionary war in north carolina. In franklin, tn. his name is on a plaque honoring williamson county residents who fought in the revolutionary war. This plaque is located on the court house to the left of the main entrance. We have not been able to find his records and some think they may have burned during the civil war. My aunt is an honorary member of the DAR due to this Anson. Her e-mail is
maraihep@bellsouth.net She has also published a book on burkes and other family members.
The second Anson fought in the civil war and was the grandson of the first .I hope this helps and please feel free to contact me again or to contact my aunt . good luck judy
