A granddaughter of Riley Burkes and Elizabeth McCarver of TN and Lawrence Co., AL, Lurany Burkes, married George W. King (my GGFather in 1860).
They had two children and moved to Lauderdale Co., MS. He joined the CSA in 1862 - when he came home they were gone. Did they go to Daleville, AL?
I would like to compare notes with anyone interested?
