The son that didn't move to KY with the rest of the family was Charles & Zelpha's son Stephen Burkham that ended up in Ohio Co, WV with his family.

He had married on 22 Jun 1786 Ohio Co, WV to Sarah Henthorn

I am assuming that you're speaking of Charles Burkham (jr) b.abt 1779
that married Nancy Ann Abbott b.abt 1784
on 30 Sep 1804 Madison Co, KY.

who shows up on 1810 Census in Clay Co, KY
and later died in abt 1837 Red River Co, TX

Of the six children that Charles and Zelpha Burkham had all but one moved with them to Kentucky. I am looking for any Will or documents that link Charles Burkham and his son, born in 1784, as indeed, father and son. Have you found anything?

Brewster? I am thinking that Charles of RRC was the son of Charles and Zilpha.

Trying to find Info on my Grandmother not sure about Her maiden name. I was told she came from Kentucky. I know she was married before my Grandfather to an unknown Lewis she had 3 sons and one daughter who drowned when she was about 3yrs old. She married my grandfather i think in Arkansas George Bradford. They had 4 children daughters Billie, Jewel,sons Floyd and Allen. She passed away in Texas in bout 1954. Any info would help thanks.

apparently David Burkham/Burcham according to what I could find online at rhe Worldconnect.rootsweb.com familytree info that David Burcham that was married to Rebecca/Rebekah was born in Frederick Co, VA in 1754 and son of Joseph Burcham

apparently he was a cousin of Charles Burkham h/o Zelpha Brewster.

thru further research I found that it was in fact Zelpha that is listed in those Tax Lists of Mason Co, KY in 1794, 1795 & 1797 listed as Zephaniah, Zepphy & widow.

Charles her husband appears on the Tax Lists in Washington Co, KY of 1793, 1794, 1795 & 1796.

Charles Burkham died in 1796 or early 1797 in Washington Co, KY

Charles & Zelpha must have been separated in the last years of their marriage.

Charles appears to also have not owned any land in Washington Co, KY, but there was a Burkham that did. I believe he is either a son of Charles & Zelpha Burkham or a brother of Charles and that Charles lived with him.

David Burkham appears on the Washington Co, KY Tax lists of 1792, 1793, 1794, 1795 & 1797

David bought & sold land in Washington Co, KY as per the following Deed records -

5 Sep 1793 Matthew Walton & wife Frances to David Burcham, all of Wasington Co, KY.
50 pounds for 102 acres located on Cartwrights Creek bounded by Samuel Robertson

2 Jun 1796 David Burcham & wife Rebekah to Trammel Hickman, all of Washington Co, KY
350 pounds for 102 acres located on Cartwrights Creek and bounded by Samuel Robertson

David also appears as a witness of a marriage in Washington Co, KY of William Hays Jr & Ellender Burcham on 21 Nov 1797

Zelpha (Brewster) Burkham was a daughter of Ebenezer Brewster of Frederick Co, VA.

Ebenezer and sons Comfort & Ebenezer by 1770 were in Botetourt Co, VA; part that later became Washington Co, VA

Zelpha Brewster was married abt 1761 Frederick Co, VA to Charles Zephaniah Burkham

Zelpha died abt 1817 Mason Co, KY
Charles died abt 1796 Mason Co, KY

Charles appears on the 1790 Census in Harrison Co, WV
