PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Kenneth J. Burl Sr., 67, of Cumberland Head Road, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 14, 1935, son of Orville and Cecile (Peryer) Burl.
Kenneth was retired from Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh after 32 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Cecile Burl of Plattsburgh; his wife, the former Lola Wilson, whom he married Oct. 1, 1960 at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh; one son, Kenneth J. Jr. and his wife, Jo, of Queensbury; one daughter, Beth Trela and her husband, Thomas Trela of Selkirk; two granddaughters, Marisa Trela and Carmen Trela of Selkirk; one brother, Louis Burl of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Elizabeth Mooney of Plattsburgh and Elinor Bedard of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
Arrangements are with Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
