My great grandmother was also Ella Burleson Hicks, and Jesse Calvin (JC) Hicks was my great grandfather. He was married to a Mary Lawson prior to Ella, and from that marriage they had a son John Franklin. One of their 12 children was Theodore Rosevelt Hicks who was my grandfather, born November 2 1905, Lawrence County, TN

I have a copy of both of their death certificates.

According to these death certificates, Ella Burleson was born May 2, 1883, died (car accident) Oct 1, 1936.
Jesse Calvin Hicks was born February 14, 1861, died November 6, 1931. They are both buried at Mimosa Cemetary in Ethridge, TN. I also have pictures of their headstones.

I see you spell Burlison rather than Burleson. If my Ella is the same as yours, I have lots of info to share if you would like. Hope to hear from you.
