Anyone one else descended from Jonathan and Permelia
Burleyson/Burlison who was told there was a Native
American connection in their ancestors? I am descended from one of their daughters and family tradition held that she was part Cherokee. Would that be from Jonathan or from Permelia? They were from Montgomery County NC which is much too far east to be Cherokee country---maybe Lumbee.

Maybe if we share information we can put some pieces together. I saw that someone else posted back in 2005 I guessed I missed that response or forgot what I said. Anyways, if you want to share info I'd be happy to share what I have. I can make a file with their names I have "family tree maker"

More children appear and disappear. I have not yet found her in the 1930 census. After you digest this information, please let me know if it fits with your data.
