Did your Great Great Grandfather Andrew Burnet also have a brother named Alexander? We have family documents that indicate Alexander (b 1791, died 1868) was the son of Andrew Burnet (Ettrick)(died 1823) and Isobel Nichol (died 1830?, canada). If Arthur, Andrew and Alexander were brothers, then I am also descended from the same Burnets. Alexander's son, Andrew (b 1815, Ettrick) married Mary Lauder, and they came to the USA in 1853 and settled on Lake George, NY. I am their descendant.
