On the internet I have seen the following royal ancestry for Alexander Burnet ( laird of Leys ) who married Janet Gardin:

Alexander Burnett ( who married Janet Gardin ) was son of Elizabeth Forbes.
Elizabeth Forbes was daughter of Alexander Forbes, 2nd of Echt and and unknown Skene.
Alexander Forbes,2nd of Echt was son of Thomas Forbes,1st of Echt and Marjory Stewart.
Marjory Stewart was daughter of Duncan Stewart.
Duncan Stewart was son of Alexander Stewart ( The Wolf of Badenoch ).
Alexander Stewart ( The Wolf ) was son of Robert the Second, King of Scotland.

Does anyone know if there is any documentation to verify the above royal lineage? King Robert the Second was born about 1317 ( or close to it ) and Elizabeth Forbes ( mother of Alexander Burnet who married Janet Gardin ) could have been born about 1417 ( rough guess ). To me this seems like it is crowding 5 generations up in 100 years. It seems like there is usually 3 generations per century during those times. However, I suppose it is possible for there to have been 5 generations in 100 years if most of the people in this line were the oldest children of oldest children. Any help on this would be appreciated.
